Fox co-chairman and CEO Gary Newman confirmed the news this morning on a conference call, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Are you disappointed to hear that Fox has canceled Scream Queens after two seasons and that's we'll never get to find out who was behind the mask of the Red Devil inside of Chanel's auto? "There is no plan to go back and tell more stories".

Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Billie Lourd, Keke Palmer, Abigail Breslin, and Jamie Lee Curtis starred in the series from Ryan Murphy. The series wasn't a ratings smash in its first season - ending with 2.526 million viewers - and viewership continued to decline in season two. News, revealing that the show will not be returning to our screens after wrapping up season 2 a year ago.

It is a rare occurrence that one of Murphy's shows fails so badly, but with the acclaimed director ploughing his energy into the likes of Horror Story, #Feud, and #AmericanCrimeStory, it always felt that Scream Queens was the annoying little sister. While the critical response was somewhat more positive, Scream Queens failed to improve upon its dwindling ratings. But as the first season wore on it started to dip in the numbers, and by the time the finale was broadcast the show had lost nearly half its audience. Tell us your thoughts on the news in the comments section below.

"When I wrapped "Scream Queens" I had to get rid of the blonde hair because [my character] Chanel was spilling over and I had to get rid of her, even though I miss her sometimes", the actress said.
