macOS 10.12.5 update fixes bugs, supports Windows 10 Creators Update in Boot Camp
Apple has issued another software update for its Mac devices. Apart from fixing the bugs the update also brings to the table security improvements.
With the fifth major update to macOS Sierra since its release, Apple has at last enabled the Boot Camp version of Windows 10 to more easily receive the Creators Update that started rolling out to Windows 10 PCs in early April.
Release notes for the update which is available to developers through the Mac App Store do not mention any specific focus areas. Apple has released a latest update to its macOS Sierra which improves the Boot Camp support for Media free installation of Windows 10 Creators Update. However, Apple did not support clean installs of the Creators Update in Boot Camp, so the only way to get close to installing it from scratch would be to first install the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, and then upgrade to the Creators Update from there.
Resolves an issue, affecting some enterprise and education customers, that may cause the system date to be set to the year 2040. It is now available for download from the Mac App Store, and it is expected to show up on the macOS downloads page anytime soon.
