After Meeting This Dominican-American Cashier, Lorde Invited Her to Gov Ball

At first, Emely was just happy to be in Lorde's presence, saying she was "shook".

John Shearer/Getty Images via ABCLorde is helping a NY cashier named Emely live her fantasy by inviting her to the musician's performance at the Governors Ball festival.

In the middle of an otherwise ordinary shift, New Zealand pop superstar Lorde happened to stroll into Liquiteria for a refreshing Blue Velvet while MangĂș was on the clock.

In the video, she said to the camera, "This is my first famous person (to serve), we got Lorde in the house today".

Then, as if that weren't enough, Lorde invited her new friend to the Governor's Ball!

The Royals hitmaker invited Ayesha to the Governors Ball "on me" before adding: "I was going to ask you in the store if you wanted to come but I got shy". She responded to the musician writing, "No way- this is a joke right?".

Irrelevant but notable aside: Lorde's new single "Melodrama" is out this Friday, and we have a sneaking suspicion she'll debut it at the GB. I'm crying [right now]!

Ms Mangu screenshotted their conversation and posted it to Twitter saying, "Woke up trying to figure out if last night was a dream or real life.".

Lorde is in NY this week to perform at the upcoming Governor's Ball in the area this weekend.
