Of those polled, Newsweek said, 66 percent said they did not trust Trump to effectively represent United States interests in negotiations with foreign leaders, with two-thirds also saying they did not trust him to do so with Russia's President Vladimir Putin. The most common answers for what they approve of most, named by 11 percent, include strong leadership and speaking his mind, with not being politically correct a close second, at 9 percent.

The Russia scandal looms large: 63 percent said it was "inappropriate for Trump's son, son-in-law and campaign manager to have met with a Russian lawyer during the campaign", and six in ten think Russia "tried to influence the campaign".

In a new poll published by ABC News, a public approval rating poll was taken on Trump's six-month run so far, and the results were. well, they're not good.

A Fordham University analysis found the two most inaccurate polls the week before the election actually came from NBC and the Los Angeles Times.

There is no visible upside to Trump's presidency.

Still, America is roughly evenly divided, 43-4%, on Trump's handling of the economy.

His tweets typically include tirades against the "fake news" media, exasperation with the "witch hunt" Russian Federation probe, personal attacks on perceived foes - alleging MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski was "bleeding badly from a face-lift", for example - and boasts of domestic and foreign policy accomplishments.

Donald Trump holding up three fingers.

Mr. Trump's disapproval rating has jumped to 58 percent.

Half of respondents, 50 percent, said Trump's performance in office has been worse than his predecessors, while just 23 percent it was better.

According to the survey, just 38 percent of respondents say Trump is making "significant progress" toward his goals; 55 percent say he is not.

Obama's worst approval rating was 40 percent, which was recorded during his sixth year in the White House.

Another said: "And he's not even at 40 percent in the poll!"

Meanwhile, Michael Springmann, the other guest on the show, opined that the people who voted for Trump's Democratic rival in the presidential election, Hillary Clinton, could not accept the results and they are clinging on to any pretext to call for President Trump's removal from the Oval Office. The margin of error was +/- 3.5 percentage points.
