Police in Bloomington are investigating a stabbing at the Mall of America that left at least two wounded

At least two people were stabbed at Macy's department store in the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota just before 6.45pm on Sunday.

When he left the fitting room to show the clothes to the other people in his party, Abdirahaman entered the fitting room to steal his belongings, Potts said.

Potts said that the suspect went into a dressing room and tried to take another customer's property.

Bloomington police say a suspect is in custody in connection with the incident. The suspect, 20-year-old Mahad Abdiaziz Abdiraham, of Minneapolis, was attempting to rob one of the men of personal belongings, police said. Meanwhile, the suspect is also believed to have been wounded. I heard someone screaming 'He got me! He got me!'. I knew something was not right.

Potts said two adult males were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A stabbing at one of the nation's largest malls has left two people injured and shoppers who were waiting to see Santa Claus shocked following what police call an "interrupted theft".

He said the others who had come to help were from the same group as the victim and he could not immediately clarify if they were family members.
