Earthquake of 5.5 magnitude hits Delhi-NCR, Uttarakhand; epicentre East Dehradun
As per media reports Vibrations were also felt in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla, Kullu and Mandi, and some parts of Punjab and Haryana. According to an officer at Seismology, The epicenter is in Uttarakhand and the tremors felt in Delhi and NCR are the impulses.
This is considered to be the second quake in Uttarakhand in the past 24 hours as a 3.3 magnitude natural disaster was reported on Tuesday only in the state. It was measured 5 at the Richter scale.
The epicentre was Rudraprayag in Uttarakhand, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD).
There were no reports of loss of property or life. It is also known as the third most earthquake-prone city in India. Magnitude of the quake was 5.5 on the Richter Scale in Delhi-NCR. It falls in the Himalayan region.
Strong natural disaster was felt in Delhi and Noida on Wednesday evening.
