The bright coat, which she paired with a Chanel hand bag and pearl earrings by the Swedish brand In2Design, appears to be a sartorial homage to Princess Diana's favorite looks from the early '90s.

On day one of their Scandinavia Royal tour, Kate Middleton braved the frigid Swedish temps-which now average 30° F-for a little bit of ice hockey with Prince William.

William and Kate also had dinner at the British ambassador's residence, where the pregnant Duchess showed off her baby bump in a gold Erdem dress.

Kate, you're winning in the style stakes right now. She's fashionable, she's polite, and she's a humanitarian. She ensures the duchess's outfits strike the right note, showcasing a mix of favorite United Kingdom designers and local talent to honor her hosts.

Later on in the day, Kate and William attended a lunch at the Royal Palace of Stockholm with the King and Queen of Sweden.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge looked as elegant as ever at a black-tie dinner in Stockholm on Tuesday.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who are expecting their third child together, were accompanied by Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel as they made their way to the Karolinska Institute on Wednesday.

But despite Kate being an accomplished hockey player, who was a member of both her school and university teams, William triumphed in a penalty shoot-out, smashing in two goals to his wife's one.

She joined Prince William at Vasaparken - an outdoor ice-skating venue in the centre of Stockholm - for a game of Bandy, which is one of the country's most-loved winter sports. For the royal tour of Canada in 2011 Kate wore a lace-embellished blue frock teamed with her favourite LK Bennett nude heels.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took a break from their Swedish tour to have tea with their royal hosts. William revealed it would come in handy since "the dog always comes in with dirty paws".
