Danny Blind confirms a loan move to Roma for his son Daley is hard - "Manchester United don't want to let him go on loan".

Sky Italy reported that the Serie A club had begun talks to acquire the 27-year-old on a permanent deal after the departure of Emerson Palmeri to Chelsea on Tuesday [30 January].

A versatile operator, Blind can play as a left-back, a centre-back or even in a defensive midfield position, which makes him a valuable utility player to have in the squad.

"Time is running out because it's the last day of the transfer window", Blind Sr told LaRoma24.

The Daily Mirror independently reports that United want to receive a similar fee to the £13/14m they paid Ajax in 2014. The price is good, but the operation is hard.

He played every minute of United's Champions League group campaign, however, Mourinho's men topping their pool to book a last-16 meeting with Sevilla.

"[Manager Jose] Mourinho wants to keep this group together".

Blind has reportedly already agreed to the move in principle, and is now awaiting an agreement between the two clubs.

After signing Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in exchange for Henrikh Mkhitaryan and allowing Axel Tuanzebe join Aston Villa on loan, Jose Mourinho insisted there would be no more transfer business this month. "It would take a few days or even weeks but we only have few hours so it's really hard".
