Rams Trade Robert Quinn to Miami

Rams trading Robert Quinn to Dolphins instead of Chiefs
Curiously, Miami acquired Hayes previous year in a trade with the Rams.
Quinn was a big time prospect coming out of North Carolina, but didn't play at all his last year in college and was drafted largely based on his athletic upside and one year of production at North Carolina. On Friday, the Rams would agree to trade All-Pro DE Robert Quinn to the Miami Dolphins.
It appears the Rams aren't done wheeling and dealing before the new league year begins either. The front office has already made it known that they are looking to continue to improve the team the expected acquisition of All-Pro cornerback Marcus Peters from the Kansas City Chiefs.
Fresh off their most successful season in well over a decade, the Los Angeles Rams have a few major decisions in free agency on the docket that will first need to be addressed prior to the 2018 NFL Draft.
The Rams will receive a mid-round pick in the deal, according to ESPN. In the the previous three trades the Dolphins made at this time of the National Football League season they reworked three of the four contracts they acquired, eliminating a year on Thomas' and Hayes' deals, and reworking guaranteed money for Maxwell. However, this past season would see him rack up 8.5 sacks over 15 games.
Quinn is a very reliable defensive end that will help Miami on the outside but the question is where does he fit in? Quinn will play opposite Cameron Wake, which makes for one heckuva pass rush. Instead, they flip him to Miami, saving about $11.4 million in cap space. Quinn is due $22 million over the next two seasons.
Quinn was a pass-rushing terror early in his career posting 10.5 sacks in 2012, his second season, then posting a career-best 19 sacks in 2013, and 10.5 sacks in 2014.
