President Donald Trump spoke about special counsel Robert Mueller 's probe of Russian meddling with witnesses after they had been interviewed by investigators, the New York Times reported Wednesday.

The Times said the White House did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

In another encounter, Trump reportedly grilled his former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus about how his interview with the Mueller team went and asked Priebus if the investigators had been "nice" to him, two people familiar with the conversation told the Times.

Mueller is aware of both conversations.

Additionally, CNN reported last month that Mueller's team has been asking witnesses about Trump's business activities in Russian Federation prior to the 2016 presidential campaign as he considered a run for president.

Given the fact Trump has called the Russian investigation "witch hunt" one more than one occasion and has repeatedly denied the allegations of collusion, these revelations has raised concerns about possible witness tampering and obstruction of justice. After a year of relentlessly trying to find Trump guilty of the charge that idiot Democrats like Adam Schiff stated repeatedly were absolute, proven facts of collusion with Russian Federation, now going into its second year and having produced not a shred of evidence that Trump did anything except run a presidential campaign that beat the liberals' cinch, can't-lose, shoo-in victor, Hillary Clinton, the abuse of anyone who ever knew Donald Trump and the digging through every tax document that could conceivably shed light on either a Trump dealing or of someone close to him that Mueller thinks he can turn, must stop!.

"It makes it look like you're cooking a story, and prosecutors are always looking out for it", said Julie O'Sullivan, a Georgetown University law professor.

According to the Times, Porter told McGahn that Trump had suggested he might "get rid of" McGahn if he didn't issue the statement.

The president said he had never ordered Mr. McGahn to fire the special counsel. "White House counsels are not the president's personal lawyer". McGahn has stayed on as White House counsel, one of the few senior administration officials who has been with the President since the campaign. He shared no specifics and did not say what he had told investigators, and the conversation moved on after a few minutes, those briefed on it said.
