Twitch Prime now offers free games to subscribers

Twitch Prime adding more free games with monthly subscription

Amazon-owned live streaming service Twitch announced a new program today called Free Games with Prime, which will give out a collection of free PC games to Twitch Prime subscribers every month. You'll be getting five free games a month with your subscription, to keep forever, starting March 15th.

The first Indie Amplifier titles available will be Shadow Tactics and Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation. Shifty are also in the pipeline for March and will join Tales from the Borderlands, SteamWorld Dig 2, Kingsway, Tokyo 42 and DubWars come next month.

All eight titles that were featured in the Indie Amplifier program will be made available for free over the next few months with Free Games with Prime.

In a way this is similar to Microsoft's Games with Gold program except for Twitch members. Twitch will also bring back two of its best freebies from previous promotions, Superhot and Oxenfree, and offer one more game it hasn't given away before, Mr. Shifty. Let's take a loot at the Twitch blog post about this new feature of Twitch Prime shall we?

Twitch users who don't have Twitch Prime, unfortunately, will miss out, so if you don't want to pay for these games, this subscription is certainly appealing. Users need to act within that timeframe or else the listing will get refreshed with other titles. Overall, there will be a whopping ten free games between March and April. Since there is now a free game bundle that comes with the subscription of Twitch Prime, it has all major forms of mass media that a Prime subscription covers, according to Fast Company.

Basically, each month there will be a selection of free PC games.
