Motorola Moto G6 and E5 might soon launch in the Asian market

Earlier, the Lenovo-owned company had promised to roll out the Android Oreo for the Moto X4 Android One edition by the end of this year. However, there is no information about the processor used in Moto G6 Play. While on the other hand, the E5 series including the Moto E5 and Moto E5 Play have been certified in Indonesia.

Motorola was expected to unveil the Moto G6 and the Moto E5 series of devices at the recently concluded MWC 2018, which was held in Barcelona but it did not materialize. Now, the Moto G6 and Moto E5 series could be unveiled soon in Asia as the smartphones has been certified in Thailand and Indonesia. In terms of cameras, the Moto G6 will feature a dual camera combo on the rear with 12MP and 5MP sensors.

The Moto G6 Plus is expected to come with a 5.93-inch FHD+ display clubbed with 4GB RAM/6GB RAM with different internal storage capacities based on the variant. A 4000mAh battery is going to power the device. While the top features the front camera and sensors, the chin features the physical home screen button embedded with a fingerprint scanner.

Moto G6, G6 Plus, G6 Play, E5 and E5 Play gets certified ahead of launch

The most premium variant of the lot, Moto G6 Plus is expected to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC, 4GB RAM/ 6GB of RAM, a 5.93-inch full-HD+, and a 3250mAh battery. It will also come with 6 GB RAM variant packing more storage.

The Moto E5 Play will sport a 5.2-inch HD display and will have 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. The camera specifications are yet to be revealed. Talking about the Moto G6 series, the smartphones are expected to come with dual camera setup and an 18:9 aspect ratio display on the front which will have minimal bezels. The leaked renders also suggest the device would come with micro USB port instead of Type C port. With glass back designs, we also expect to see wireless charging, but it is something which phone makers reserve for flagship grade devices. And in September, the American smartphone manufacturer introduced the Android One edition of the same device with support for Project-Fi.
