Manchester United are preparing to sign Arturo Vidal this summer

Man Utd ready to sign Chelsea target for £42m and have offered £240,000-a-week contract

Vidal has will have one year left on his contract in the summer and may seek a new challenge.

United boss Jose Mourinho is believed to be searching for a new midfielder with Michael Carrick retiring at the end of the season and Marouane Fellaini's future still in doubt.

The Chile global will have a year left on his deal in the summer and could opt to try his luck in England.

The Red Devils have been linked with a number of midfielders, including Toni Kroos, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Jean Michel Seri and Jorginho to name but a few, and now we can add Arturo Vidal to that list.

United will be helped by the fact that his agent is Fernando Felicevich.

Felicevich also represents Sanchez and helped facilitate his move from Arsenal to Old Trafford in January.

Bayern are aware that they could lose the Chile worldwide for free if he is not sold this summer, and could be more willing to facilitate a transfer as a result.

Previously, NAIJ.com had reported how reigning Premier League champions Chelsea signified their interest in Bayern Munich superstar Arturo Vidal, and the Blues are ready to bring him to the English League next summer.

"Bayern is all I want and need", he said.

"I'm exclusively thinking about Bayern and it is my great dream to win the Champions League".
