Two Dallas police officers have been critically wounded in an officer-involved shooting. Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall addressed the media during a press conference asking for prayers for their officers.

Police also say a civilian was shot, but they don't know that person's condition.

Authorities were reportedly searching a wooded area behind the store for the suspect. Armored police vehicles were seen driving toward the Home Depot on US 75.

Five Dallas officers were killed and seven others injured in July 2016 when a military veteran who had served in Afghanistan fired on them.

Two Dallas police officers and a home improvement store employee are out of surgery after being shot while escorting a man from the store. "They're shooting, '" witness Mercedes Goledo told Fox 4.

The incident began Tuesday afternoon when an off-duty officer at the Home Depot called to request backup officers for an arrest. After an hourslong manhunt, Dallas police announced that a suspect had been been arrested after a high-speed chase.

She pulled over and got out to see who the officers were chasing and saw a man in a white shirt and shorts emerge from behind a small market nearby.

Rawlings said neither the names nor the conditions of the injured would be released. "Please pray for our officers and their families".

The ATF said it's also responding to the scene.
