"Making the world of music easier to explore and more personalized than ever".

YouTube is rolling out a new service "YouTube Music" on 22 May to seperate the music and film components on the Google-owned video-sharing platform.

Google Play Music ($9.99) subscribers get YouTube Music Premium ($9.99) for free, which is YouTube Music with no ads. The paid tier will be called YouTube Music Premium and start for $9.99 per month.

YouTube has also revealed its is rebranding YouTube Red as YouTube Premium. It will be extended to the other countries in the upcoming weeks.

Combined, the new music service and premium video subscription replace YouTube Red, a service originally launched in Australia nearly exactly two years ago. According to Recode, YouTube Music will eventually replace Google Play Music, Google's very similar music streaming service. For those confused, YouTube launched YouTube Music back in 2015 and what we're looking at is basically a brand new version of the service that YouTube is hoping will make it a competitive offering.

Users of the YouTube Music app will be able to access music, playlists, live performances, videos and radio.

Just like any other music streaming service, YouTube Music will let people access a wide variety of songs, artists, albums, and playlists all in one place.

YouTube's subscription video platform is getting a new name and price. It is a mobile app and desktop player that gives you access to millions of songs. The latter will focus on ad-free and exclusive video content. But if you want to see what happens next down at the dojo with Daniel and the Cobra Kai, get ready to pony up two bucks more a month.

YouTube Music launches on Tuesday and will feature time-based recommendations and predictive behavior to customize every users' experience.

YouTube Music initially launches only in five markets, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and South Korea.
