R. Kelly is being sued for sexual assault by a woman who claims he held her against her will and abused her... TMZ has learned
Kelly's management team declined to comment today, but they previously declined Rodgers' claims when she filed a police report in Dallas.
The suit claims Kelly flew her to his concert in New York City several months later, and put her up in a hotel during her stay.
Rodgers claims that she continued her relationship with Keller for roughly a year, during which he "routinely engaged in intimidation, mental, verbal and sexual abuse, during and after sexual contact". They began to message each other frequently until R. Kelly flew her to one of his shows in NY.
A woman has filed a lawsuit in NY against R. Kelly, accusing the singer of sexual battery, knowingly infecting her with herpes and locking her in rooms for punishment.
In May 2017, Faith says R Kelly flew her to NY to attend one of his concerts.
Kelly has denied sexual assault allegations, and in response to Sampson and Jones' claims, his publicist stated, "R. Kelly has close friendships with a number of women who are strong, independent, happy, well cared for and free to come and go as they please. You know?" she said, adding that he also recorded their sexual activity on his iPad without her permission.
"Unfortunately, the facts and background of this case are not unique", said Rodgers' lawsuit.
In Rodgers' lawsuit, she alleged sexual battery and false imprisonment.
Kelly's long history of accusations of impropriety with young women date back to 1994, when the singer was 27 years old and reportedly married his 15-year-old protegee, singer Aaliyah. "You feel like, 'I'm chilling with somebody I went to high school with'". I just was not ready for sex, ' she claims.
A woman told Rolling Stone past year that she was in a long-term relationship with the singer that was sexually and physically abusive.
Due to the other allegations surfacing about R. Kelly, some companies have taken direct action. She says they followed a series of rules set by the singer like standing up, walking to him and kissing him on the mouth whenever he entered the room. In 2008, he was acquitted on child pornography charges. Speaking directly to the HuffPost, the lawyer explained how she ended the relationship in February due to Kelly's "predatory, controlling and abusive behaviour".
Amid the controversy to #muterkelly, in late April promoters cancelled a concert in Chicago, his hometown.
