Meek Mill Debuts 'Stay Woke' with Miguel at BET Awards

South African artist Sjava has won the "Viewers' Choice Best International Act" category at the BET Awards.

The 2018 BET Awards are happening tonight at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

His Grind Day Remix song earned him the Hiphop Song of the Year at the 2018 award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Jamie Foxx gave a speech about XXXTentacion's recent death.


Foxx entered the arena with a stuffed black panther toy - with a gold chain around its neck - which he handed to Jordan. "It was about tapping into that voice we always hear that tells us to be proud of who we are".

The evening included performances by Janelle Monae, Nicki Minaj and Migos. The most talked about moment of the show was Meek Mill & Miguel's performance, with Twitter activity peaking at 10:20 PM ET with 7,856 total interactions.

Kendrick Lamar bagged the "Album of the Year" and "Best Male Hip Hop Artist"; Beyonce picked the "Best Female Pop Artist" and Bruno Mars got the "Best Male Pop Artist".

The Marvel Studios blockbuster took home the Best Movie Award while star Chadwick Boseman earned Best Actor for his performance in the title role.
